Thanks. You are not necessarily registering you drone but more your self. You can use the number you receive on all of your drones that you fly for fun. It just makes it easier for them to identify and locate you in the event your drone is recovered.
The above is my opinion and worth every penny you paid for it!
Yes you just need to register once if you are a hobbist and you use the same number for all your aircraft. IF you do decide later to get your 107 though, you need to register every different aircraft, so if it had been registered under 107 and then you got a replacement you would have to go and register that one as well. Hobby = Registration follows Person Commercial 107 = Registration follows Aircraft.Along those lines, I sent my Mavic in for warranty repair. It was just returned today, and the serial number in the battery compartment was different. The whole drone looks like it is brand new, complete with factory stickers everywhere. The controller looks sparkling new also. I suspect they just did a swap for a new or refurbished unit.
Anyway, you're saying I do not need to register this unit fresh, that my prior reg. will suffice? I'll double check the link and try and decide I guess.
Add your address, phone number and some sort of request for the finder to call you for a very nice reward. Might get it back should it decide to hide from you some day.
