So, I've had my Mavic broken for a while now, and I've finally decided to bite the bullet and get it repaired, since its just a $1300 paperweight at the moment. I'm aware that DJI repair is an expensive and slow option, and that ThunderDrones will typically be able to fix it faster and cheaper than DJI. However, ThunderDrones is in Georgia, and I'm in Arizona. Are there closer/cheaper/better options for me? I'd like to be sure that I'm exploring all my options. Thanks.

I've never personally worked with @Thunderdrones on a repair but based on all of the positive feedback I've seen on this forum in addition to his contributions to the community I wouldn't hesitate to ship my Mavic to him for repairs. Just my two cents.

Whatever you do, make very, very sure the people who work on it have lots of experience with the Mavic. Here are pictures of what a "hobby shop" did to one guy's gimbal.

They finally told him they couldn't get it to work and that he needed to buy a new one.
