Rumors of production being halted indefinitely?

Tis possible. I work in manufacturing.. parts have to keep shipping!

notice on dji forum site issues with Some controls sent out...get the feeling dji ken not want me to post my emails..i think orders overtaken them and small issues till it all builds up...may never know...shame really but i can get money back and get one in new year...think that the way to go for me...

Friend of mine flew his today. Says signal loss over 20 times at close range. He's very disappointed

I know they sell it, read what I wrote, they're relatively new to DJI (having sold toys for a long time), I think they're making **** up to cover their promises they've made that they can't keep

I like how you're trying to tell me what they sell when you're on the other side of the world haha

I used to live in Australia mate. Duck (SIC) Smith is selling the Mavic right now!

Interesting because more specialised drone/hobby dealers in Australia are showing the following:-
Modelflight has Mavic combo ETA on 15/11
and other ETA on 30/11
Camzilla has Mavic ETA on 15/11
Rise above Aerials shows mid Nov
Guess we will see what happens over the next few days
That's what they are displaying but when you speak to them (as I have) they will tell you they have no idea and that DJI will not confirm any shipment times

I know it's not totally related, but perhaps they knew something about the Karma recall and it enabled them to take a little more time to refine a few things with mass production

Duck Smith. Substitute an i for the u. Swear filters block D-i-c-k Smith. Big Aussie electronics retailer. I lived in Bondi and in Brisbane up by the horse track. This was 5 years ago. Spent time in Gunnedah too.
Does it really? hahaha thought you meant that

They used to be a big retailer, they no longer exist
5 years ago, okay so you wouldn't know JB are only a recent adopter of DJI, and like I said I'd be looking elsewhere for release info

Well, I ordered 4 weeks after launch on 10/25 and just today I received an email from Amazon that read:

"DJI Mavic Pro Fly More Bundle, Mini Portable Drones, Gray"
Estimated arrival date: December 07, 2016 - December 08, 2016

So, if this pans out then I'm about a month away -- later than I first thought but earlier than I later figured. With the delays and slow shipping pace I'd braced myself for mid December to sometime in 2017.

Hopefully, by the time they make mine they'll have worked out the quality issues and it was precisely for that reason that I delayed ordering until 4 weeks after the launch.

I reckon its just that they don't have stock to send out. Supplier is saying its because there is no production = no production for that market.

Same reason I have been waiting. See if the issues have been worked out on a v1.0 product

There selling the mavic at Coffs camera house...but no idea when there getting stock..

The bricks and mortar d-i-ck Smith doesn't exist, but I believe kogan purchased their online business and is still trading under dicksmith.com.au

Sent from my HTC_0PJA10 using MavicPilots mobile app

Honestly, if its for QC or hardware fixes, then take their time. I would rather wait for a perfectly working product than receive a defective, blurred focused, connect-loosing mavic.

......But if its just more lies about how far behind in production and how much they jumped the gun on the release, then that is something totally different....
Guys and girls I wouldn't believe that I've had my Mavic now for a week and have flown every day since I've had it with no issues whatsoever. I'm not one to use all the gadgets that come with this Drone (Follow me and so on). It flies very steady and takes fantastic pictures as good as the Phantom 4, if not better.
