My Galaxy S2 8" SM-T713 WIFI Android 7.0 works with mavic pro but it didn't work at the beginning. Here what I did to get it to work.
I used white standard USB cable that comes with tablet
DJI GO 4 v4.3.24(853-googlePlay)
Enable USB Developer Option is on in developer settings and dji app
Go to Settings-> Apps-> DJI GO 4. Set as default-> clear defaults. Permissions: only location and storage is on. App notifications: turn on allow notifications and set as priority, on lock screen - show content. Tap "Force Stop" and turn off tablet.

1. Connect usb cable to Controller and tablet.
2. Power on drone
3. Power on controller
4. Power on tablet
5. Notification from DJI app should pop up, tap set as default and ok

I haven't tried different order.
Also, I have been using ipad mini 4 with original lightning cable and it works out of the box. No need for digging into settings or anything like that.
