Does any one know which satelite systems Mavics use. I currently have 21 in use on my phone but only one is GPS. Various other syste.s from Europe Russia and China are also visible and showen as being in use.
 
the number of sats shown on the screen is what are visible to the mav at any given time ,and will vary with regards to your position where you are. the sats are always in the same place .using GPS and GLONASS gives a greater no to lock on to

The satellites are actually orbiting rather than geostationary.
Which is why you'll get different numbers in the same place.

That's a common misconception but, if you consider the geometry, a globally distributed geostationary constellation is physically impossible because they would all have to be in the equatorial plane - that's the only plane in which a satellite can be geostationary.
