Scheduled autonomous Missions

Hello,

I’m constructing a new house next door to mine. Can I program a mission, set up drone each evening (on porch), and have it autonomously fly mission at scheduled time in morning (e.g., 30 minutes after sunrise) - while I’m still sleeping? No idea whether this is restricted by available features and/or regulations.

You might want to mention which drone you have? Some will fly waypoints some don't. None that I know of can be on a timer to take off all by them selfs.

So not even a PIC monitoring the flight at all, let alone a pilot exercising VLOS? That would be completely illegal and, unsurprisingly, impossible due to the lack of any functionality in DJI drones to do that kind of automated flight.

Mount a doorbell camera or one of the wifi higher res version security cams on your roof and let it do the monitoring. .

Litchi and a Mavic 2 Pro will do everything you ask except the part about waking up at a certain time and launching.

Then there is the whole sh!tload of illegalities part….

You’re gonna have to set an alarm clock and get up yourself.

Nothing will turn itself, the controller and drone on at a particular time but flying the same path every day is doable.

Are you doing a montage of the construction process? Like a time lapse? Sounds like a cool idea. Make sure you post it when it's finished.

I have an idea that might even be better. Please Google this term "timelapse of construction project." Here you will find many links how to do this. Set up your camera at the site-preferably protected from rain, and shoot an image every single day or every several days. Then render it into a video. With the free software, LRTimelapse.com you can get a pretty good film.
