Hello folks,

I am using the extreme pro 64 with combination of M2P, windows 10 / hp Elite boom i7 8th gen. When I want to transfer the date to computer it takes way to long and end up in to error I/O 08007045d. The card is new and I use it for the first time... Anyone else had this issue?20190529_010404.jpeg

Smaller files are getting transferred without issue

I did not format the card, did put it strait onto Mavic :/ that might be the issue, the problem is that I have about 46gb data on the card :/ so formating would mean all is gone. I tried two different laptops same issue, I did connect directly to Mavic using the usb cable same issue.... The only option is to format the card and test it again. The card reader is usb 3.1. which other card do youbrecoy?
Did you format the Micro SD card first in either the Mavic 2 using DJIGO4 or a computer before use?

Small files work. Hmmm , Card reader issue?

There are programs that will copy data bit by bit and ignore its formatting or partitioning. One popular free one is AOMEI. It will ignore formatting and other details.
Get the Best Bit Copy Software for Free!
You may want to download a free copy and try and bit by bit copy all of the data from the card that way to the hard drive. It may not be readable, but at least you will have the data from the Micro SD card and can then feel assured that you have done everything possible to preserve the data (video files) that you shot.

Then you can format the Micro SD card and take a sample or test larger video to determine if you can copy it from the Micro SD card successfully. You would want to do a test so that there are not issues in the future where you loose footage as a result.

If you still have the package for the SD card there was a card in it for a data recovery program. Just opened my card today. I ripped it in half lol.

I did back up some of the data, then did format the card in laptop, when I put it into the M2P and tied to format it there then it gave error :/ somehow in first place the card was not readable and I was not able to record. Finally I was able to do some recording, but when I tried to get the data from the SD card, same error , takes way to long and it ends up into error...in another laptop the card is not being recognised at all. Maybe I should try another card? ..

I was wondering if the way that you record the footages / setting of you camera will effect the process?

Last question first; yes since data transfer takes varying times since files have varying size.
I’d try a new card next flight. Be sure it is V3 and rated > 100/sec transfer rate. If the problem recurs as you describe there may be a problem with the slot/software in your drone.

I wouldn't think so. But you could try a lower image size just to test it. Have you connected the drone to your computer and tried to access the drive while the card is in the drone from Windows explorer? Does that work correctly. Can you copy test files into and off it?

Have you used a card reader on your computer to read the removed card outside the drone (sounds like had issues here)? Can you read and write just fine? Are you connected to an onboard port and not a is hub? If you get any errors from the card reader it's likely the card. If you get errors from the drone but not the reader I would start troubleshooting the hardware or firmware because it's likely the drones card reader.

If you have errors outside the drone try connecting the reader directly to the computer and not a hub. After that it's time to try a new card all together and start by formatting it in the drone.

Just my thought on troubleshooting.

If it were me I would return the card. Hope you have receipt! I would not want any possible issue in the future when I was out filming that special shot.

You want a U3 Micro SD card. 64 Gig is a good size.

Camera stores if you area may also offer a data recovery, or have a stand alone card read that might read right data faster. I have had a lot of issues used SD and Micro SD cards that read / write a lot slower then my (in theory) slower cards. Not sure if placing in a slower card read makes the card always read slower?

Thanks for the tips, in fact I have the issue in both situation, when I connect the drone with usb and when I indeed the as card into the reader.

1: very first time I had no card reader so I did connect the dron with USB to laptop (Windows 10) I was not able to get the larger files while some of the smaller files were copied successful.

2: then bought the card reader, it is usb 3.1, then tried to get the files, but got the same error again, while I was still able to get the smaller filet copied.

3: sometimes the card is not recognised, from drone & from the reader

4: while flying , the drone also does not recognise the card and ask me if I want to switch to the internal memory

5: I have not test the card reader with anothe card yet.

6: I have not tried with onboard card reader, the today's laptops does not have such a reader , even the usb ports are limited :/

7:the very first two shots are readable (smaller size)

8:yet I need to try the pictures to see what will happen then

9: I did format the as card from the laptop, but I was not able to format it from the Drone

Question, how do I troubleshoot the hardware in this care drone self? Do I need to downgrade the frimeware? The drone is just few 2 weeks old, (I had 2 light crashes, but all works fine), have the DJI care , if I return the drone back, will this fall under warranty or dhi care? How do I open a case with DJI

It is really sucks as I am now in France and want to shoot some nice footages :/

Another question, see the picture attached, somehow I have changed some settings and everything on my screen shows red , while the footages are ok, did rest the camera but could not get ride of it, any idea?Screenshot_20190529-192849.jpeg

I cannot transfer the data even with the standalone card reader

I got the fly more combo + as card , they are just two weeks old, I have the receipt, but the box is gone

I second the new card. It's going to be the cheapest and quickest start to trouble shooting. Since it's in the drone and computer that you see transfer issues and file priblems. Take new card out of the package, out in drone, format through go app (best way to format it). Take test pictures (even from the kitchen table with the props off is fine. No need to stat the drone just shoot a couple pics and a vid while everything is connected). Then go look for your pics again and see. If I had to guess get the red shows underexposed blacks like the white areas with lines would show over exposed areas. This may to be it because I am new and I only have limited experience with the mavic two and go app settings.

Note that it's my understanding that reading the card from the drone is not as easy as just pulling it out. Just make sure your not using a USB hub between the computer and the card reader.
