I've several different DJI drones but only my Mavic Air has had batteries go dead. The only common thread was both of those batteries were left in the drone. The case holding the two spare batteries were down 25% -30% but that's expected. Will leaving a battery in the Mavic Air cause it to drain below recovery?

Another member here told me of the Batteries going into Hibernation mode and that recovery is possible YES its not good. I would not store my batteries in the Drone, Also use the 60 percent rule ALWAYS store your batteries at 60 percent and Never let them drain below 12 percent.

It shouldn't.
Leaving batteries at 20% might be the issue though.
How long did you leave the batteries sitting?

The Air batteries have had longevity issues in general. Friend's ones died even sitting out of the drone, and even when used they degrade faster than other DJI batteries.

Where do you store the drone? If in a soft case there have been a few threads where Mavics with this style of battery have been accidentally switched on in the case.
