can I find a way to get a phone on the mavic

any advice be it criticism /help /ideas I dont care throw them in the comments im IRISH I can take it and give it back twice as good lol

on the mavic you can turn off the "downward vision positioning" in the DJI Go 4 app, then you can strap the phone to the underside.

The trade offs of turning it off are the low altitude hovering accuracy, precision landing and landing check, which should not be a problem

You might want to be careful strapping a phone to the bottom of your Mavic. The heat sink is right there and runs the entire length of the bottom, plus your fan exhaust is towards the front. Blocking the heat sink could cause internal component teperatures to rise, and blocking the fan duct could have the same effect. Also, you might not want a 120° heat sink attached to your phone, it could cause damage to the phone. It might also lock up or get screen burn if subject to that kind of heat.

I guess if you get your footage right after you start the drone, and limit it to less than a minute, you might be okay. The drone usually reaches its hottest after the fan kicks on at around 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Good luck with your project.
