This is my version of a homemade lanyard/neckstrap attachment for the RC controller. Assuming you have the M2x6 (?) screws and a piece of metal and a drill you can knock this out in 5 minutes. I used a drill press, Dremel cutting tool, and belt sander. The cool thing it is free. My wife had an old lanyard from work I am using :)

If you do not have any tools other than a drill....to cut the metal to length..just score it and bend back and forth until it comes off .

1: get a hacksaw blade or other piece of metal
2: cut it to about 5.5 cm Cut longer if you want to size it
3: Drill a 2 mm hole at each end approximately 5 mm from the ends
4: drill a hole in the center..large enough to fit the lanyard clip 1/4 inch or so.
5: Bend the metal to fit.
6: Screw it in.
