Simple question

I was flying my Mavic really low, maybe four feet from the ground getting a nice slow ground video. I went out maybe 20 feet then turned it facing me when it just said landing and landed itself. No big deal as I was over ground, I took off again and flew it a bit higher, maybe 6 feet and when I reached myself it just said landing and landed itself a second time without my input.

Is this normal. Guess it is not a good idea to fly low over water or a surface that will damage it if it just auto lands like this?

No, that's not normal. It should only say "landing" when you press the auto-land button. Mine will land itself also (whtout saying "landing") if I hold the left stick down, but it shouldn't do it if you are just flying around.
