Smallest subject for Active Track/Follow Me

If I wanted to follow my MM is it large enough for the IA software in the M2P to follow? Has anyone tried it?

I struggle with my 50lb dog on the ground when he stops moving or gets close to other large items (my M2P). I'm interested in this so hopefully some feedback.. I have a black dog against the brown dirt background - when he gets near darker foliage the active track loses him and tracks the larger more defined item.

I tried and tried to get my Air to follow my Typhoon H.......no joy.....kept losing it......

I had M2Z follow my kite. Did OK when kite was above the horizon in camera view or background was water but tended to lose tracking contrast when view was in line with trees. I'm working on an edited video.

That's exactly what happened with me....in clear air, it tended to follow it but as soon as there was a background, even just barely treetops.....gone.....
