Smartphone quality vs mini.

First of all i want to say hello to all of u drone pilots.

Got two phone my old nexus 6p with crap battery, mavic on update took around 40% of power. My second phone is honor view 20. Didn't notice anything wrong with it. But it don't fit proper in controller.

When I'm using nexus 6p with tello I can notice reduced range. (Even using extender from xiaomi.)

So does quality of your device may reduce performance of mini?

Yes, the RC to aircraft communication is very sensitive to electromagnetic disturbance. The SAR index may vary a lot from one phone to another. Try to put your old nexus in airplane mode (including wifi off) and it should solve your problem.

Thanks for replay. Flight was stable but drain of battery was sick. Started on 80% then after gps lock went up to 20m slowly done 360 turn and landed. Phone finished on 40%... I have samsung tablet (sm-t580) but cannot install app... Hope they going add support for more devices soon
