I’m relatively new to the MP2 zoom so excuse me if this is a silly question. I want to take a hyperlapse shot of traffic at night and during the shot zoom in to a particular section of the street. All my efforts have resulted in the zoom being too quick and jerky. Is there a way of carrying out this shot?

Many thanks

Garfield

Hyperlapse videos are made from a series of stills stitched together. There is a time gap between each still.

Not sure how you'd get around that. One thing you might try is 'micro-zooming'.

Watch the shot counter on the screen. Each time a shot is taken, zoom ever so slightly.. Just nudge the wheel a tiny bit. Do that until you get to the desired focal length. Then do the same when zooming out.. By reducing the amount of zoom between the frames, you'll reduce the apparent speed of the zoom in the finished product.

I don't know if this will make it completely smooth. Let us know :)
