Spotted an apartment building fire while flying this evening

spotted this while flying my mavic pro this evening. This was before firefighters were even on scene. I thought about calling, but instantly started hearing sirens.

wow, impressive. Im new to drones, so thought it'd be smart to keep my distance from an emergency. Ill send my pic to the local paper and see if they want it.

paper already responded. They sent the photo to the editors. Pretty exciting since ive only had the mavic less than a week

Careful you don't do illegal commercial 'work'. Depending on where you are and what licence you have, sending images to the newspaper might not be 100% legal. If you just shared it on social media/forum and the news happened to pick it up, then I would not worry. But I would never send it to the paper.
