Started up new mini 2 without arms extended :-(

Hi all,

Total noob with drones and bought my first today, a mini 2.

In my haste I tried to launch the drone with the arms still tucked in.A warning was displayed saying the rotors couldn’t move.

I unfolded the arms and took off with no issues.

My question is, could I have done any damage from the initial failed launch?

Just noticed these marks on the back of the drone, pretty sure it wasn’t me, does the plastic scratch easily??

Yes. I've had the same problem. Nothing to be overly concern about. Do you store your MM2 in a storage case? If so, this could be the reason for those marks.

Oh ok, yes I bought the combo package so it’s been sat in the case that’s included. I was concerned I’d bought a used product from Argos! Thanks for the reply.

Please read the manual properly before you fly.
Follow a set startup routine to ensure you do do everything right every time.

A lot of crashes/fly aways can be attributed to hasty startup and takeoff.
