Hello,
this weekend I flew with my MPP in the Mountains and when I got back I made some strange encounters processing my DNGs & Videos.
I already read some Postings about these strange Flairs/Circles/Dots/Spots and now I have them too. I always fly without the Lensprotection due the bad contrast it produces. I never flew in wet conditions and neither with a lot of dust or something like that. Until now the Videos where quite clear ad so where the RAW-Files. But after this weekend I noticed these strange Circles in my images and even in Video. Especially in the sky you can see them.
When taking a video, my gimbal sometimes goes crazy when it is a bit windy or if you go to fast backwards. But the most weird thing is, that when the image is shaking you can see, that the Spots stay in their Position and the Image moves -> so I believe this has nothing to do with the sensor - maybe it is an optics problem.
At home I tested it again and the Spots appear in all kind of lightsituations -> it does not matter if it is dark or luminous. You alwways have these kind of spots all over the upper area. Then I tried out, to take a photo near a lightsource to get a big amount of light near the lens and what I saw took me of my shoes. The image looks like if there was dirt on the sensor (small points) and when I merged the pictures in PS you have the flares exactly there where these "dirt" spots are visible.
In my opinion as a DSLR-User it looks like, that this a production-fault -> how can so much dirt enter so easily behind the lens or in front of the sensor -> when it is fix closed. If it would be an interchangeable lens -> I would understand it, but a closed system that graps so much dirt is not normal.
My drone and the other equipment have been treated like raw eggs -> always carried dry and well coverd, never flew when it was rainy or close above the water. Yes some starts from gravel or the lawn or something like that, but hey for a 1.000 dollar tool you can expect that the camera is so well sealed that nothing enters. During the Start you do not have pression on the gimbal neither - this is only the case with high velocity.
Unfortunately my drone is out of guarantee - I wrote to dji but I do not expect anything - It is a shame having a working drone whit very few flight hours that produces crap-Material.
Have you had the same experience or what do you recommend - In the other postings it was always the same: Sending it to repair, exchange the gimbal or the lens.
Shame on dji because I think it is their fault -> I have a canon 5dmk1 and it works like a charme still just cleaning the sensor and off the way. Here you are forced to pay a lot or even to buy a new one - because from dji you cannot expect anything I think.
Attached find the Fotos.
