Strobe on Mavic Mini 3

Hey All,

I had a Mavic Mini before and had a strobe setup towards the front of the drone since it would not interfere with the gps or antennas. I replaced with a Mavic Mini 3 and is it still ok to put the strobe towards the front of the aircraft? Like above the vents in the front?

Be aware that this puts you over the weight limit for registration.

While the OP didn't ask about weight or express concerns with staying under 250g . . . some have found a single small strobe on their minis does still keep you under 250g . . . you can't use mounts though (arm or other body type).

A flytron single cree strobon is 4g.
A Firehouse Tech dual 6g.

(Edit - add the weight of 2 tiny bits of dual lock velcro)

Worth weighing the drone concerned on a good set of electronic scales (hello post office !) to see what it comes in at.

Oh, and the OP had concerns about keeping it forward away from gps an antenna ??
A strobe shouldn't have any affect of those.

Yes, it's fine to place it towards the front, between the forward facing Vents.
The Mini 3's GPS Module is located towards the back, near the DJI emblem.
