If discussed, point me to the thread... I searched and didn't locate similar.

M3Cine, fully FW updated... several flights previous since FW updates.
Flew a road construction piece, brought M3 back to Jeep... brought down to hover 2-3 ft above ground, then held stick to land (Standard landing procedure... nothing new).
While holding stick to land, M3 got about 8-10" off deck then suddenly & very strongly took a 5:00 clock maneuver... flew about 8 ft backwards, then stopped. I was standing at 6:00 about 4 Ft behind it. It darted past me then stopped apx 4 ft behind me. I brought it back up to Lz point, and it landed without issue.

Batteries still had 50%, so I powered off, examined craft & props...started back up and flew it for 5 minutes and brought it back. No issues.

The sudden flash rearward movement introduces a little discomfort with Craft. The M2P and Inspire2's haven't displayed this oddity.

OH... few more points.
Landed with Nose 12:00,
Gusty day.. the Mini3 Pro was getting tossed around from side 3:00 winds.
M3 appeared to be adjusting smoothly in gusts.
Open Construction Road... no towers, no high voltage transformers... housing development to 3:00 Side.

So as not to cause confusion, please don't use M3 as an abbreviation for the Mini 3 Pro. The M3 is an entirely different aircraft: The M3 abbreviation is exclusively reserved for the Mavic 3.

My bad.
Thanks for clarifying the confusion and only the appearance of misuse!
Lol... it was clear to me. Quick to jump there eh, M3 Police... misuse?
Kidding, no seriousness intended!

Yes, I made a flight comparison without lead-in introduction.
I think I picked up a habit from my Wife... she can change gears on me 20 times in one breath... keep up!

Your point has been noticed elsewhere, I agree. I've noticed some even use M3P for the Mavic 3 and Mini 3 Pro.

Might something have tripped the forward OA sensors? Falling leaf, bird, butterfly, reflected light from truck windshield?

It's fortunate the drone didn't hit you. 2-3' AGL encompasses some sensitive areas.
That's a good thought... although nose was a good 25 ft from any barricades or objects in ft and Jeep was behind me. Other than small rocks, nothing on ground, and it was older concrete road section.

Plus I thought the OA is disengaged once craft is in the actual landing mode. Similar to hand catch... it'll drop down once in landing mode.

I wasn't able to duplicate afterwards either.
I don't think it's associated, this was the 1st time I used the OA option to bypass eariler in flight as experiment... then switch back to normal during same flight. That was a few minutes before landing.
