Topsun Strobe Question

I just bought a Topsun strobe because I don't like losing VLOS, so I want to attach the strobe to the bottom of my M2P.

The strobe just arrived and I velcro'd it to the bottom between the gimbal and the downward looking sensor.

I have 2 questions before I fly with this thing stuck to the bottom:
1. If the strobe were to come off the velcro in flight, I'm assuming it would be blown downward by the propwash and not be a risk to the props. Is that correct?

2. It's very close to the downward looking sensor. Would it create any problems with the sensor's function?

I'd rather ask here before I fly instead of finding an out of control drone in the air.TopSun Strobe.jpg

If it blocks the sensor from functioning properly there will be a message on the screen. At least that how it works on the Mavic Air 2, so I might be making an assumption. Conduct your own test without a flight, you’ll still get the message if the sensor is blocked.

Thanks. Good idea. I'll do that - as soon as the recent snow is melted.

Mavic2 pro. Attached one on the front arm and one on the opposite rear arm. I’ve never had one come off during flight. As long as you’re using a good quality Velcro and making sure the two parts are seated well, they don’t come off.

I bought the item below just for the bracket. I attach my strobes on each of the downward facing arms where the torch should go (velcro & hot glue) with one facing forward and one facing rear. You could mount one top ring also or remove completely. Slides on to drone in seconds . Doesn't cover any of the sensors

The arms are a safe place to mount TOPSUN lights too:
