Fellow Canucks.
Our rules change June 1... before Canada Day.
I was looking study material.... Firefox/Google, Bing/MS, or other not found study material.
Any leads on study material?
I am a wilderness adventurer so if I don't update there will not be any OPP, RCMP or CISIS looking for me. ;D
If someone could share a link that would be great. It would be great to fly legal.
Cheers.

There are numerous threads on the forum dealing with this.
Try the search function for "Canadian rules", "June 1", "transport canada", Canadian test", etc.

There is no specific free study guide but there are some YouTube videos that may be helpful.
Read the new regulations a couple of times and keep a couple extra tabs open in your browser to search keywords from the test questions (it's multiple choice). Also, keep in mind that many of the questions are more pertinent to safety than anything else.

Good luck with your test! :-)

I found this video very useful:

He doesn't give you the answers, but gives you a structured description of what to expect and where the best places to find the answers are. (Essentially which four documents/sites to have open while you write the exam.) I followed Don's advice and passed my Basic exam with 91% so I'm legal now :D

Most of the exam is NOT about drones per se, but general aviation stuff.

According to Transport Canada I should review Catapult Theory, as I got that question wrong. I passed the questions on Bernoulli and helicopter controls, not to mention icing, where to find ATC frequencies, how to read air navigation maps, etc.

You mentioned wilderness — there was a question about national parks on the exam.

Also a fair number of definition questions (eg. what's a visual observer), as well as being able to read the CAR 9xx regulations (eg. who can ask to see your license).
