I don't know if this has been shared in another thread, but I wanted to share a little trick I am using with the controller "ball-type" bracket for the IPad. While the size and weight has its own challenges, I prefer to use the full size IPad for the screen, but due to the weight, kept loosening on the ball.
I discovered by taking a 1" tip from a rubber glove (they can be found at just about any store) and slipping it over the ball of the lower extension and carefully slipping into the joint of the holder before tightening, now holds the IPad very tight and stable to the position I want. An inexpensive fix if you prefer the ball-type bracket to a rigid one.
