I have ATT hotspot and Verizon as previously mention on the board here.
And have tested those sims in the Tripltek and no problems.
I thought I would give Cricketwireless data only a try.
Went through all the "hoops" explaining to them to set it up as a Samsung Note 20...
got an Samsung IMEI from Tripltek.
That was early August.
Been a week or so since I started the Tripltek...
And today got bounced off the network repeated with "Not compatible device..."
Hours on the phone with Cricket... reactivate the account numerous times..
take the sim out.. you know the routine.
Finally Cricket tells me the Samsung Note 20... as a phone
is not eligible as a device to work with their data only plan.
But all the time I would get these messages...
"Not compatible device. A compatible HD Voice device is required.
To avoid service interruptioins .... blah blah blah....."
Even though I signed up for data only.
Don't really know with Cricket if data only is not
compatible with Samsung Note 20 IMEI .
Don't know if a "tablet" data only device IMEI would work...
The last support person kept trying to up sell me plans as a phone,
and or buy a hotspot. They said only their hotspots would work.
Yet their website and plan is for "bring your own device."
The data speeds with Cricket at best were 8mbps... usually around 1.5mbps.
It was really just a test with Cricket data only... at $35 20gb... too expensive for
what you get. I'll just use my phone's hotspot to fly.
If you got Cricket to work data only with the Tripltek... chime in !
Otherwise stay away from Cricket.
