Tripode vs cinematic mode

What is the difference between the Cinematic mode vs Tripod mode in Mavic?

Tripod mode has just limited speed. Cinematic mode can fly with normal speed just the acceleration and deceleration will be smoothed

Neither one of these do anything to smooth the camera panning up and down, do they? I have a hard time making that move smoothly.

So change the gimbal settings to slow the camera tilt down

That's because the cinematic and Tripod mode control the movement of the drone itself. Camera up and down is only in the gimbal motor, which can be adjusted separately.
