Unlocking DJI controller in locked geo zones manually on DJI site

After you get the unlock, while still at home, use the browser on your controller to log into your account. That should transfer the unlock license to your controller. When you go to fly, it will tell you you can’t take off - until you go to the menu (from the top right corner) and then to “Unlocking license” and click “Transfer to aircraft”. (Doing this from memory - hope I haven’t skipped any steps.)

If your wireless contract allows tethering, you could just connect the controller to your phone’s internet connection (hotspot) when at the location, and the license should get to your controller. Then go to the menu at the top right as described above…
