Hello everyone! I am desperate for any help finding my cat. He has been gone for a week. We live on a canyon and have had a couple sightings, but I search aimlessly through the canyon and in our surrounding neighborhood. There are also coyotes, racoon, and opossum around us. If anyone could help me search.

He went missing from 9935 Swath Ct., and there is an easement that runs behind my house. He was spotted behind and address on La Tortola and as far up as Calle de las Rosas. These are the areas I walk every morning and every evening. If anyone could help me search for signs of him in trees/canyon areas that would be amazing. Any help would be appreciated!

5yr old, grey cat (russian blue), named Ash. Has microchip and was wearing a break away collar when he was lost.

Having lost 5 cats to coyotes in similar circumstances living adjacent to a canyon, if it has already been a week, I think you already know the most likely fate of your unfortunate cat. Sorry to be so blunt, but the coyotes, raccoons, and possums will have found and devoured him by now. I hope I'm wrong and you find him alive, but every day that passes makes that less likely. The other most common fate is being run over by a car. It appears you are also surrounded by freeways, and people do find stray cats and take them home, thinking they have been abandoned, especially if the break-away collar has come off. Good luck!

Try putting out the cat box and food to see if the scent can bring back your cat, to those things. It sometimes happens. Put it on your porch and keep and eye open for the return.
