Down the dirt road a ways.
Thus far, my hangar of DJI drones includes two Mavic 2 Pros, a Mavic 2 Zoom, a Mavic Pro Platinum, two Mavic 1 Pros, two DJI Air 1s, a Mini 3, an Air 3, two Phantom 3 Standards, and a Phantom 3 Pro, all bought used on eBay, yet I still track the current prices of used DJI drones on eBay to see if any good deals appear as the years go by.

While the older Mavic 1 Pros and Phantoms have remained fairly consistent with current advertised prices comparable to those of the past, I've noticed that Mavic 2 Pros, which could be picked up for as low as $450 in the past on eBay, now sell at between of $600 to $800 used for the aircraft alone, while the Air 3, that I bought for $700 last year, has now crept up in price to a thousand dollars for the drone alone.

Looking at these prices as they rise rather than fall on most DJI drones that are less than 6 years old, I am now glad that I impulse-bought all the drones I'll need for the next few years before DJI began to feel the heat of a possible ban in the USA. With the volatility of world politics and international trade relations, it remains to be seen whether the upward creep of the price commanded by used DJI drones continues or abates.

To any other cheapskates out there who buy used drones to save a buck, my advice is to buy any used DJI drones that you have in mind NOW, because if a DJI ban does materialize in the USA, you'll be glad you made those purchases before the prices really begin to skyrocket.

Don't wait for the fat lady to sing, and buy now, fellow drone meisters. There is no time like the present.

It is reassuring to make the acquaintance of a fellow drone hoarder. I don't feel like such an outcast now haha.

All those drones!I'd say there's help available but sadly there isn't😜

Going to open a RC/Drone shop where we are retiring at because of the amount of RC products I went crazy buying, lol. Currently have boxes stacked 8' high completely filling a 15'x30' storage!
Sounds cool but I hope you are maintaining those LiPO’s while they’re in storage!

Haha I'm too far gone. No intervention can save me now. Making sure all the batteries and RC controllers don't drop below 50% battery charge level is a full time job, yet I can't bear the thought of selling any of my toys.

If there is any justice in this world, DJI should award me with a gold watch some day...

Hmmm… maybe my MPP batteries (I have way too many) that I want to give away for free may become worth a dollar or two.

If you have any P4P batteries, don't rely on the reported charge when pressing the button! All 16 of mine reported two solid and one blinking third light, indicating greater than 50% charge.

I decided to charge them all up. Only 6 of 16 are able to be charged up. While attempting to charge the other 10, as soon as they were connected to the charger, they went from the battery button display of 2.5 lights to 1 light, which would alternately light up and then shut off for 15 seconds, and each one repeated this for as long as it was connected to the charger, even overnight.

Turns out, that is the kiss of death on a P4P battery. So I just lost $2,000 of P4P batteries that I thought I had been properly maintaining. Fortunately, I still have 6 usable ones, but any thoughts of selling off the other 10 are now toast! Whether there was ever a battery FW update that should have fixed this incorrect battery display remains unknown.

I have four Phantom 3 Standard batteries, and I am going to take a closer look at them now, thanks to this cautionary note you have kindly posted here, Gadget Guy. Over the years, I did wind up throwing out three of the same P3S batteries, along with a couple of Mavic 1 Pro batteries as well, once I saw that they wouldn't take a charge while showing the same anomalous indicator light display that you observed on the P4P batteries that wouldn't take a charge any more.

These accounts are a good reason to pay closer attention to the battery information provided by the Air Data records on my drones and their batteries.

There is supposedly a fix for them with a guy on YT who advertised that he would fix them for $40 each, but his website no longer exists. It required opening the batteries and resetting them by accessing the circuit board reset pin, but afterwards also required special software to communicate with the BMS to change a critical parameter back to normal to allow it to take a charge.
