Video feed in photo mode is poor quality

Is the video feed in photo mode supposed to be poor quality or is my mavic broken? I'm using an iPad mini and the feed in video mode looks great. It's hard to compose photos with the feed quality, but the pics usually turn out fine.

Nope, pretty certain it's the aspect ratio, i just fly in video and make the switch when i need to
