Reply with option key and QuickTime. It should give you the option to open in a popup. My Mac does.

Convert them with MPEG Streamclip, the most commonly used converter.

Download and install VLC Player on your Mac

I have a Mini and my Mac plays the mp4's from the Mini without problems. You cannot change the video type to sth else. But according to DJI's specifications the mp4 should be "MP4 (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC" - and according to Apple Support Quicktime can play this kind of movie. So if it does not work on your Mac, please answer these questions:
1. You are trying to play mp4 from Mavic Mini, right?
2. What operating system do you use exactly? (Maverick, Catalina.... ?)
