Visiting America

You simply need to take the TRUST card exam I have many friends that come from Europe and fly their Drones...Never been a problem.

Hi braintrust , I'm visiting my son in Nevada in March (I'm from Australia)
What to I need to do to bring my drone with me and fly legally while I there ?
Hopefully, your son has his CCP and carries, so you will not only be legal, but also safe when flying with him!

I registered it with FAA just to be extra sure I'm not breaking any rules. I assume I tape the rego number to the drone ?
It must be Visible thats all you have to worry about.....Just don't stick it in the battery compartment....I put mine on the rear arm....Just use a twelve point font (regular) for some reason lol NO comic sans allowed LOL

You're asking the peeps that won't drive 1 mile an hr over the speed limit. You're good my Aussie friend. Stay away from people, homes, and National Parks and fly, fly fly. Lots to see.
Explain?
You can certainly just fly on over and fly inconspicuously and certainly get away with it, No one is debating that...The OP is asking about the LEGALITIES of coming to the U.S. and using a Drone. The Advice given is just that. Will the OP get in trouble with anyone for just ignoring the rules and just flying.... Probably not but I do not give advice in quatrain's or proclaim to be this forums Nostradamus.
Just get a trust Card and you will be fine to fly here and just like in any other country Your overweight Drone must have a functional RID. If you fulfill those requirements then Fly to your hearts content.

Like I said, stay at 55 Sir. Most will just pass you by. Like You said, he going to be fine! its the way you say things sir... The OP is concerned about visiting the US with his drone, not necessarily with where you MUST apply the FAA sticker. goodnight.

My understanding is that after 23/12 any drones that are not FCC approved are not permitted to be brought into the USA by tourists. Your Mavic 4 Pro should be fine in March then as it stands 👍
Currently there are no DJI drones being sold anywhere in the world that are not already approved by the FAA, even if they have never been sold in the U.S. by DJI itself. Even the still unreleased Avata 360 already has FAA approval, regardless of when it is released by DJI, and regardless of whether it is ever sold in the U.S. by DJI.

It is only future, new, as yet undeveloped DJI drones, that will have a problem.
All existing DJI drones are completely legal and already FAA approved.

that's my plan .I'm a little old lady that has been flying for over ten years ,in Europe ,Asia and Australia. I'm part of Surf life saving in Australia and have done lots of emergency work for them ,as in search and rescue and shark detection and have been tested so many times ,it ain't funny .The local fire station also uses my services .
I really am not a cowboy flyer .
