I purchased the Mavic Air 2 on Amazon today. I purchased the combo version., A ScanDisk 256GB, card and a lightning port to connect it to my iPad and also a got a landing pad. I’ll get the good DJI service plan when it arrives. I have the B4UFLY, UAV Forecast, Air Map, and will register with FAA when I get it.

Are there any other good accessories or iPhone Apps I missed? I couldn’t find a lanyard. Only ones on Amazon specifically say NOT for this drone, just others, maybe controller is different?

Delivery date is the end of this month.

Thank you

It’s advised not to get anything bigger than 64GB in regards to the SD card. This is incase of failures etc

You’ll probably find x2 64GB cards is enough to be honest.

Also make sure it’s at least the SanDisk Extreme one as anything lower won’t have the adequate performance required to record in 4K.

If you’re planning on recording at 4K 60fps, you might want something bigger than 64gb. With a 30 minute battery you can certainly eat a lot of room.

I find the "don't buy big card" recommendation a little odd. I know people say it is so you can swap out more often in case of card or drone failure that you don't lose your footage. You can do that with multiple larger cards as well. They do cost more money, obviously, so go little if you want, but I'd rather have the room. While you won't fill up a 64GB card even with 4k and the 48mp pictures on a single flight, it will add up quickly. Plus, if I have a card failure and now I have less cards to work with, I still want the space.

I buy the 128GB cards on sale for less than $20 each. I can still swap them out.

Other apps are obviously the DJI Fly App and some people prefer Kittyhawk over Airmap for LAANC, so you may want to grab that as well.

Just make sure you get cards with the fastest write rate you can, these things need to be able to write at a very fast rate. Don't forget to stop recording before turning off drone. You can turn it back on and it will finish the file correctly, but it's better to shut it off before. I have done it a time or two :)
