I hope that is not the plan although it makes sense.
I have several Harmony remotes that use that same system for charging and with all of them the point of contact ends up getting a bit scorched by the sudden current flow when the device is dropped on it. Soon you have intermittent contacts and have to wiggle the remote and constantly clean the contacts. Now that's with a tiny remote with a couple 100ma battery pack. I can just imagine what it would be like dropping a Spark onto one.
