what is your best antenna mod ? for Mavic and for Spark

I wonder if I can have a switchable external antenna for Mavic and Spark, like the below :

This guy did a mod on my Inspire's. Outstanding workmanship and Performance No drilling into remote case .Used existing antenna holes. Very Clean look.

Would using antenna mods give better range in scenarios where line of sight is obstructed, or is it only worthy in scenarios where there is minimal obstruction?

Will this also improve live video reception?
