I took it to mean "Operator" (of the drone). Fortunately the operator and the original poster are the same in most of these discussions!

There are too many acronyms in all sorts of areas of course.. not just for drone's. . If your in a technical trade of some sort, its over-whelming... you get emails or other information that is filled with 3-5 letter abbreviations for lengthy tech terms.. its annoying..
