What would you do, bound to another accout?

So I am looking at buying a MA2. It works as it should, but it is bound to another account.
The guy says he bought it from a friend before moving away. I understand that the refresh is bound to the serial # regardless of who owns it. My question is, if he can't contact the former owner to unbind it from their account is it still worth buying?

Refresh follows the drone, not the buyer. So it's not problem to use Refresh if you need to.
