Hi there, I’m a new member but I’m an experienced drone pilot based in Okeechobee, FL. I am trying to sell off my DJI Matrice 4E Bundle, but I’m having no luck on EBay and Marketplace. Where are other places I might be able to sell it off on or at? Thank you in advance for your help.

Wow, that’s an awesome drone. A Matrice isn’t a Mavic and is certainly not a hobby drone. I’d try the classifieds here, you should be able to find a buyer who does commercial work: https://commercialdronepilots.com

Common issue with enterprise models is the typical customer for these won't buy used, it'll be a company purchase that requires new gear with after sales support.

Could you share a link to your eBay listing?

That seems like a fair price, especially since you're open to offers.

It might be helpful to provide more details in the item description. Right now, much of the text is copied directly from DJI, which doesn’t add much value. Since this is a used item, potential buyers would likely appreciate more insight into its condition. For example, you mention it was used for two hours, but was it ever crashed or scuffed during that time, or does it still look brand new? Additionally, how long have you owned it, and why are you selling it after such minimal use? Adding these details could give buyers a clearer picture of what they’re getting.

Lastly, are you sure you've given it enough time to sell? Other Matrice 4E drones have sold recently, so there does seem to be interest.

I would second the Personal Description Idea. When I read the copy and pasted version it kinda seems like someone that's "in a Hurry" to place a sales add, and that brings up some apprehension.
That is a nice price for that Drone! You may just have to give it some time.

Thank you for the advice, I greatly appreciate it.

Unfortunately, EBay does not allow me to revise the product description, what would you recommend?

If you're unable to revise the listing, I'd recommend relisting it.

For a $7,000 item, the description comes across as a bit suspicious. Another concern is that your eBay account doesn't have any recent history. When purchasing a high-value item, buyers typically look for sellers with an established track record. Without that, there's no way to verify your credibility. For all I know, your account could have been compromised, and you might be selling a stolen drone.

While there's no quick fix for your eBay account's history, the best way to build trust is by ensuring your listing looks as professional and legitimate as possible. Right now, the current description raises red flags.

I must be missing something major

a new Matrice 4E bundle from DJI is under $6000; that includes the RC plus 2E and the case. New Batteries are $210. With 2 extra batteries, that bundle, new, would be around $6400. That would come with the DJI warranty

so what am I missing about this bundle that warrants the $7000 price tag?

I paid $210 per battery, $260 for the speaker, and $400 for the spotlight. After tax, I paid $6117 for the drone. I placed the asking price at $7000, but as seen in the description, that is Or Best Offer. Plus it took me going through 4 places to even get the drone.

I don't think anyone is going to be willing to pay you extra for that trouble though. Per above, you might need to adjust your price a bit if you're charging more than what the going price is today.

If that $6,400 value is accurate above, then maybe bring your listing down to $6,500 OBO.

I’ve always given references to verifiable receipts and serial numbers on my high price sales, and even put a newspaper with the date in the photos- but there are too many easy ways of spoofing photos to make them look original these days.

ok then.

Of course, if somebody has no interest in the speaker or spotlight, those will have no value to the potential buyer

by the way Drone Nerds is selling the combo for $5309. Add 2 batteries and the total is $5729. That includes a Care Enterprise policy.

DJI Matrice 4E with Care Enterprise Plus

I have a mostly-fantasy interest in that drone. But in order for me to abandon the safety and protection of a reputable dealer for a used drone that $5729 price would have to drop to at least $5000, probably lower. I'm not trying to argue you off of your strategy; just suggesting that the limited market for a drone like that might generate offers well below that $7000 mark

that $6400 price ($6358 actually) doesn't include the speaker or the spotlight. But I'd imagine most people interested in this drone would not value those accessories much

subsequent to that post, I found that the price at Drone Nerds for that combo + 2 extra batteries is $5,729.

People typically won't bother making an offer if it has to be a whole $2000 lower for the price to be reasonable because they'll be pretty convinced they have no chance of it being accepted.

I don't think we're quite at $5000. With all of the accessories mentioned, you'd be looking at about $6,357 brand new.

$5,309 (drone package)
$210 (battery #2)
$210 (battery #3)
$259 (speaker)
$369 (spotlight)

Deals of course are different depending on where you shop, so it's quite possible someone might find this package for less than $6,357.

That would be for "new with warranty", used. even not much you're gonna have to deduct some otherwise there's no point for someone to get that instead of buying new. And as mentioned if the accessories are not interesting to the buyer they won't value anywhere close to their retail price.
