Whew! That Was Close!

I rarely use RTH for this very reason. "If" I do use it, I will cancel and take control once it is near me.

Very well prepared spotter. :)

the RTH is something I use as a last resort, and have only used it once in 4 years.

All it takes is one setting to be off and it is bye bye birdie

Hate to admit it but I got distracted on it's way back. I know we have all done it at some point. Luckily I looked up as it was coming down and had enough wits about me to cancel the RTH. A lesson learned with no harm done.

I lost contact with my mini 2 at 1.5km (in the uk we have less power transmission).

I let it rth then left it in God's hands to see if it came back.

Never used RTH as a “normal” function. I see if it works as expected every now and then.
Rely totally on LOS and manual controls.
I believe it is too easy nowadays to rely on automated things, then when it goes belly up everyone panics.
Would never get in one of the new driverless cars. Watched too many horror stories where there is a spirit in the vehicle and it chases people down ?
