Other countries have their own perogatives. Just because we have lenient laws in North America doesn't mean they should apply anywhere else.

There’s a big terrorism problem / increasing threat in Morocco, maybe easier for the govco there to blanket ban then.
Probably won’t stop the eventual increased use of drones in use by the ‘dark side’.
They have enormous potential for scouting and deploying small devices.
I bet the armed services of western countries are fully into this already, besides their more advanced winged drones.

Trust your friend is ok, and that lack of flying skills / terror beta may have been in his side.
Bound to happen sooner or later, even Neanderthals can’t miss the potential of these toy drones.
