Why separate app?

anyone know why DJI released a separate app and not updating the old one? I have a feeling somebody asked us already but I couldn't find it.

It was less complicated than attempting to continue to support numerous aircraft and other devices with a single app.

ok , does that mean that we should already all migrate to the 4 app ?

i'm still using the old app but don't have specific issues...am i missing anything from the new app ?

i guess when they start upgrading the firmware of the DJI GO4 and abandon the old app i'll be forced to migrate but at this point i'm scared any troubles with the new app...

For now, you can choose either. In the future, I don't think DJI GO is going to support the Mavic.

I agree, otherwise there would be no point in separating the SW support. Once the F/W on the newer A/C get changes and improvements that are not applicable to the older A/C then it would be necessary to migrate to the GO4 app to take advantage of them.
