Will the original SC used with the Mavic 2 work with Mavic 3

I have the M2Z and have the original smart controller, I assume the v1. Will there be an update to use this SC v1 with the new Ocusync 3.0, with the Mavic 3? Don't want to have to purchase a new controller as well as getting the M3.

I had a feeling the new M3 would leave the old controller behind but did expect the new controller to work with older drones. Maybe that will change for those that want to spend $1200 on the new one. Ouch. The smart controller is a fantastic device overall, I liked mine while I had it but let it go to increase screen size. I was wearing readers with the SC and dont have to with the iPad mini. I’m not comparing the two. I miss the feel of the controls and liked the weight and size in my hands but the display size was too small for my aging eyes, the brightness however was much better than my alternative. Anyhow, thanks for the link.

This is a comercial thing, DJI like to sell the new smart controller. if the MV3 not cine, works with the old radio command, OS2, from y opinion, is not technical reason to not update the smart controller 1 to be able to works with MV3. of course, with the OS2 limitations and without the advantages of the OS3.
