Wish I had thought of this before

Yeah on Dec 23 at noon there should have been 23 minutes of thousands if not a million DJI drones all airborne across the country all at the same time to show just how many drones are actually in the hands of civilians.

Maybe we can plan something for the new round 2 of sanctions coming up next year.

It wouldn't make any difference and very few people (if any) would have seen it.
We value the ability to redress our grievances with our government regardless the marginal effect or the resulting outcome. It's an American thing. We are not yet prepared as a community to pull off something like this on a grand scale but that's no excuse for dismissing the idea. In the event there is a phase two (FCC cert revoked) I suggest we "protest." I suggest we start "organizing" now.

There should have been a considerable online campaign to have a DJI fly-up today. A time of day when all across the country, pilots would just take off & fly up for a short period of time, just to say "we're still here" and your ban is baseless
Maybe plan this for a day when we can all get behind it (New Year’s?), and give us sufficient time to alert all the media. They are in the same fix with their fleets.

Not all we Americans value speaking out about our government in ways that are ineffective and unproductive. You don't "redress our grievances" by actions with no effect or outcome.

You don't have to be an American citizen to understand that very few people would even notice even tens of thousands of simultaneous drone flights across the country. The time would be more productively spent on the phone with the offices of members of Congress.

Why not do both. Call your Congress member, tell them to look outside. Entire Drone Community standing together showing their support for the drone industry. Have them Look Up and take a moment to get a true understanding on what this hobby means to millions of Americans !! Besides all the Workers and Safety Crews that will be taking a hit with all this nonsense.

Simple: Because as @Meta4 and @MS Coast, I don't think it would have any impact at all in modifying the situation, and I'm not into wasting my time on performance art. In fact, I find virtue signaling quite annoying.

I have 10 dji drones but my 107 only allows me to fly one at a time without a waver. I wonder if the DAA will grant me a waver to fly them all at the same time. I am sure that I could get them all up. One after another, each for about one minute.

Better reconsider some kind of a mass US protest because we would be inviting the FCC to next ban EXISTING drones. My experience with tugging on Superman's Cape is that it never works out well.

Brendan Carr is no friend of ours, and could shut down our DJI drones in 30 days easily. We all better enjoy our sport quietly in the USA, or risk losing all DJI drones for good.

The FCC can easily ban every DJI drone in the USA so let's not tempt them.

It's absurd to debate potential enforcement because if such a ban were enacted it becomes law. Yes we still are a nation of laws. While many might be tempted, I don't think this forum wants to be used as a sounding board or focal point for breaking laws.

The wise will quietly go about our hobby and hopefully enjoy our DJIs for many years to come.

I don't know him but he does appear to be spiteful and petty.

I dunno, seems like people near New Jersey were paying a LOT of attention to drone flights back in Nov of 2024.

Having everyone launch their drones in protest seems like an ineffective exercise.

Have a sheriff's office run a demonstration that shows a drone locating a person lost in the woods. Coordinate with local media and have the media question the local member of Congress who voted for the '25 NDAA and ask if they support the removal of S&R equipment from the marketplace.
