As promised, here is the Zimbabwe video, which took me about 40 days of editing since returning Sept 30 . Already stated, no drones were allowed.

This was our 2nd trip to Zimbabwe. I did a volunteer catarct surgery mission in We loved the people there.They were all very special at our two camps. They cannot do enough to help us, grab your luggage, help us off the vehicle when loaded down with gear, etc.

My camera bag carried two bodies (Nikon Z8, Nikon D 750 for time lapse), three lenses (20mm/1.8 S, 24-200mm/f/4-6.3, for the Z8) and a third lens for the D75o 28-300/3.5-5.6. Also a selfie stick and DJI Osmo Action 5. Separately I carried a gimbal that attached to the jeeep and held the 180/600mm f/5.6-6.3 for 95% of the shots of animals an birds. This was placed in a carry-on in the ovehead. Various filters for ND and sky and several chargers. Also in the checked baggage was a RRS carbon fiber tripod. A lot of the video was done with the Osmo, the Z8 with the long lens, and even the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Weight restrictions are often an issue with airlines to Africa and within. Yours was certainly heavy, however often they don't check if it doesn't look heavy. I was born in Harare.

I did a volunteer eye surgery (cataracts) mission in Harare 1994 at the main hospital, for a week. (Stayed at the Mickles Hotel). We have a friend here in Miami who was born in Bulawayo.

Fortunately I met no weight problems with the small planes and I was actually under the limits anyway. I carrried the Z8 ands big lens over my shoulder.
