I bought DJI Refresh after buying my Mavic Pro. It was a new product (years ago), costly, and I didn’t want to take chances. Originally I was set on GoPro’s Karma drone until the Mavic’s unveiling.
Anyway, I never needed the service. It gave me peace of mind flying such an expensive craft. You just need to make sure you can recover your craft if it crashes. Otherwise you’ll end up with a 30% discount on your next purchase.

I do have to tell you about “ HAVE TO RETURN
CRASHED, BROKEN, OR WHATEVER”!
I have returned two Mavics without having
Another mavic to send in to Dji!
What happened was one of those two
Had issues backed up by Dji and the data
That’s kept for flights.
They could not dispute the facts so they warrantied the first one and replaced with
A BRAND NEW UNIT, NOT A REFURBISHED
UNIT.
The second one I flew into a tree, that didn’t even
Hurt the Mavic, it was all about the fall from the tree.
As it fell it was pushed, pulled, and thrown to
The ground right into the ONLY water puddle
And was under a foot of water about 20 secs
B4 I could get it out.
I took it inside and started the hair dryer.
About 30-45 mins after VERY CAREFULLY
DRYING THE MAVIC, I was back outside to
Test my Bird.
Well all was fine for maybe 10-12 mins, enuf
Time that I was about 5,000 feet away.
Then all of a sudden I start getting MULTIPLE
warnings, they ranged from IMU problems to
Complete compass meltdown I guess.
Anyway I struggled to regain the bird but
It was no use.
I could barely see the video as it was going
In and out and finally it just went black
And I had no map, video, or a prayer!
I KNEW IN MY HEART DJI wasn’t gonna
Fix this cause it wasn’t thier fault this time!!
BOY WAS I WRONG, I WENT TO SEARCH FOR MAVIC FOR THREE DAYS WITH NO MAVIC.
I decided to check the flight data and the Gods
Had aligned for me cause looking at all the data
You want but NOWHERE did it indicate it
Had become water logged prior to fatal flight.
Of course this had to mean Dji was in the wrong
Again!!
So I call up Dji and leave out the water part!!
Within two weeks I had another Mavic using
Dji refresh!!
Once again I took delivery of my BRAND NEW
Mavic!!
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AND IF I HAVE SAID IT ONCE IVE SAID IT TEN THOUSAND TIMES:
REGARDLESS OF WHAT U HAVE BEEN TOLD,
Or heard or WHAT YOU THOUGHT, DJI DOES NOT REPLACE A UNIT YOU SPENT OVER
$1,000 on with a REFURB!!!
They never have and after 4 replacements
STILL HAVENT SENT ME A REFURB.
I started with a
p4 refurb and did a refresh
Claim on it and YES THEY REPLACED MY
REFURB WITH A REFURB IN THIS CASE.
YOU CAN TELL IF YOUR UNIT IS A REFURB
CAUSE THE SERIAL NUMBER WILL ALWAYS
HAVE THE LETTER R ON ITS END.
So if you are poor like me and realize that
Dji has tons of money then I had no moral
Qualms about leaving out the water crash.
APPARENTLY HAD I JUST NOT DRIED IT OUT
AND SENT IT IN RIGHT AFTER THE WATER
THEY STILL WOULD HAVE REPLACED IT CAUSE RIGHT THERE IN THE REFRESH
CONTRACT IT SAYS THAT THE BIRDS ARE
COVERED UNDER REFRESH EVEN UN A WATER CRASH EVENT THAT WAS ENTIRELY MY FAULT.
I WILK LEAVE YALL WITH THIS, BUY THE REFRESH FOR A LITTLE MORE SO IF
SOMETHING CRAZY HAPPENS AT THE
VERY LEAST U GOT A 50/50 chance.
You don’t get any chance without refresh!!!
