Just home and OMFG, it is beautiful, oozes quality.. It is smaller than I imagined, lipo is charging, waiting for our pizza then it's time to play (indoors obviously, it's blowing a hooley down here)..

I received my Mavic Flymore package last week (UK) from my local DJI Dealer
DJI only sent them 2 mavics both flymore packs , I was lucky enough to be one
of the 2 guys to get one , loving the little guy
Are you in Sussex by any chance? Just a guess as I know that fpv were expecting 2 combos in.

Braver than me (flying indoors that is) . Forecast for the rest of the week is much better from tomorrow. Unusually for me, apart from updating the firmware, I calibrated nothing, not even the compass. And it flies like a dream.

Mine arrived from Maplin just after 5pm this evening. The box was tiny, at least to what I was expecting. Cancellation email sent to DJI for my Combo and will just have to wait for batteries to become available.
Nope I am in Scotland , the dealer was Marionville Models in Livingston .

Ok lads i got it! Here is my story.
I pre ordered from Maplin's some time ago, i was told 28th of Nov ETA then that changed to Jan 2017 (not to blame Maplin's).
I read on the Mavic Pilots forum about some guys finding one or two Mavics at Selfridges in London.
For the past 4 days i kept calling them, and there were no Mavics only some noise that they where some and "sold like hot cakes"
After several attempts i figured out how to get through the IVR faster, 1st dial their call center, 2nd press 4 to get connected to the HQ, 3rd press 2 to go to care and then ask for the "Tech Zone" at the London store
Two of the floor agents got my name and number one of them called me this evening and told me the magic worlds "hi there is a Mavic pro combo here if u want it Sir another customer canceled"!!!
They did not alow me to pay on the phone or online so he was kind enough to reserve it for me for 24hrs.
So i got on a train with all the train cancellations cuz of the heavy rain and traveled 1.5 hours to London and bought it. 1359 pounds not 1249 but i don't care.
So i canceled my Maplin pre order and all is good.
I am on a train back not sure how exactly the 2nd leg of the trip will go as trains are canceled but i don't care...
Good luck to u lads too give Selfridges a try and don't buy to sell there are guys like me that actually love to have a Mavic so pls do not be greedy its not fair let someone that wants it for themselves to get it.

Given my new faulty mavic i am keeping all my options open and have requested a replacement mavic from Selfridges (they are obliged to offer me a replacement as mine is faulty).
They are going to call me as soon as they know about stock, and will put one aside.
I just need to see who is going to come good first - either DJI with a shipping label (still a good option) or Selfridges with a new drone to swap with.
Either way i ought to find out when they have stock fairly quickly and will be sure to let you lot know if i hear anything.
Selfridges just now told me they had only had one delivery of mavics so far, which doesn't quite ring true with what Spocks post said, as they were out of stock on Thursday lunch, and were not reserving stock. Don't know how they had a'cancelled order'. Well done you, though, for your perseverance!

Never really trusted Heliguy as they take payment for preorders. Also, they specialise in drones so any handfuls if stock are probably going straight to their staff or being flogged on eBay for double.Latest word from HELIGUY 19/12....[emoji20]

Could say the same about other retailers but I smelt the bullsh*t when they banged on about being a tier 1 retailer.
The only retailer I can see who's being honest and actually sending decent amounts out are Maplin.
