Oil / chemical tanker

Thanks, very interesting. Is the trail after the ship slit that it has pulled for the bottom on the channel, or was is leaking something?

Definitely silt stirred up by the propeller.
I didn’t even see that when I turned , or I would have dropped and followed that back . . . would have been interesting footage.
As it was, by the time I was turning to come home, I’d flown a fair way around a bend in the channel, was a decent way out.
Tried cutting the corner and come home direct line, but as I hit the land fall at riverbank, it just stopped dead in the air.
I’d hit a NFZ for Pelican Point power station, a small gas fired back up power station maybe 500m from take off point.
Had to fly out over the channel again a little to RTH. (Manually flying as usual.)

Nice and majestic . . . watching these huge beasts make their way out of the channel and out into free navigation.

Very true.
I want to fly more ships like this.
Discovered they have transponders like planes and there’s a website you can go and see where they are, been, headed.
There’s also an app.
Be good to watch and know when / where to go film them.

Yeah, I've been following ships on that site for a few years now. The cruise ships too. At first it's kinda overwhelming until you zoom in on the map and it becomes simplified.
