I believe DJI is really watching Skydio. They market it as a practically self-flying beginner drone with advanced capabilities right at $1000. "Spend a $1000 on this drone and it won't crash into things like those other "dumb drones". How can you lose? Oh and it does 4K60, has a great follow...
I went with this one from Amazon as I was leaving on a trip and wanted it the next day. Installed easy. I haven't noticed increased glare but I haven't really used it in the midday sun either.

I received mine a couple of days ago after a long wait for shipping from China. I put one on and it fit well. They look to be nice quality. I didn't have a problem adjusting them although I do have some concern about trying to do it after the bird is turned on. I don't like touching the...
In other applications I use RC tape or Hockey Tape. It is commonly used to seal hatches on electric RC boats. Works great and doesn't leave a residue. My RC boats are much much faster than my drone and I have had no problems.
Interesting situation. I was in our local mountains camping with some friends in my Jeep club. I did a short flight but the fog started rolling in so I brought it in. I turned off the drone and the controller and put them back in my backpack. 30 minutes or so later we decided to do a Jeep...
M5 8.4" also. It has never had a problem. I recently picked up a Smart Controller. I like the ease of use and the brightness of the SC but miss the larger screen of the M5. I will switch back and forth depending on what I am doing.
That is a bummer. This is just a guess, one of the big changes for 10 is permissions. You might go into the phone's app settings and make sure GO 4 has location permissions and any others it may need. I wish I could be of more help but I haven't been flying with my phone lately.
Very interesting that the latest AC update I received today (01.00.0510) has added battery mounting detection. Hmmmm...
Also, the ability to set when auto discharging begins.
Yes, you need the codec. I found it for free. Not sure if this is the one I used since I am not on the same computer but it should work.

I am referring to the Smart Controller. dji.com/smart-controller/specs
The supervisor IC we use is a newer one. It is just the problem of the battery curve changing to look like a cliff instead of a smooth curve for certain batteries.
