I bought a used Mavic Pro last January. I've flown many miles and hours and have not had a single problem other than two broken front landing gear. They are cheap and easy to replace.
I live just outside the downtown area of a small city. This morning, I walked about 1/4 mile to a park and flew and did not vote in close contact wit anyone. People are permitted to go out and walk and ride their bikes so why can't we fly? You just need to use some common sense.
I just put a $100 deposit down. It's a $100 risk but the price is $699 VS $999 later. I think the discount is only available through the end of the year. I bought it because its different, not counting on it being better. I will report after (if) I get it.
The problem is that its a state park. I've gotten kicked out of Rockford Park and Brandywine Park. It really irritates that Delaware has a massive state park system for the size of the state and there are times when there are very few people but we're prohibited from flying.
I fly in that area. I'm sure I have a similar picture. Breck's Mill is a nice place to fly. Also Valley Garden Park. You can get nice pictures and videos of Hoopes Reservoir there.
I have a Mavic Pro and a Mavic Air and, until recently, a Phantom 3 Pro (I sold it to upgrade to a Phantom 4 Pro and cracked in up 5 days later. I hope it can be repaired). Since March 4, I have logged 442 flights, 83 hours flying time and 850 miles.
