You are
I know that but you seem to be missing the point. I had GPS lock on both the drone and the RC as I had been flying for about 15 minutes I could clearly see the relationship between the drone, homepoint and RC on the blank map but under my very specific circumstances it didn't work until...
Well in my case I promise you it did. From the update home point screen tapping on the little controller icon (or the drone icon for that matter) did nothing. I stood exactly where I was and let the drone hover and enabled wifi and a hotspot and within a second or so it worked.
Now this may...
I've experienced this on the first flight of my Mavic 3 Classic. (I know this is the mini 3 forum but same issue). First ever flight of new drone at a park away from home so no live internet connection on the DJI RC. Firmware wise everything was up to date and as I had been wandering around the...
Yes that's correct the ground sloped away from my home point at at both 180 and 200ft the ground was uncut grass and the drone was likely around 40ft above it in both cases. It seemed to be all about the distance from home point and rather then anything else and it was almost a reluctance to go...
Bit of an odd one today. Weather was clear and sunny with no wind or fog and I was flying off the side of a sloping grassy park. when the drone was around 210ft out I tried to descend and it wouldn't go below an indicated height of around 20ft (by then it was probably about 40ft above the grass...
Yes. I've just spent ages on with DJI support and they are useless. They neither understand the issue or it seems their own products. I've just rolled back to 1.5.4 and it works but 1.5.8 and 1.5.9 both fail to cache video. I suspect even with this additional info the support people will still...
Hi. Just updated to 1.5.9 and while everything is good flying wise I notice that despite the cache video wile recording is set to on its not actually happening. I flew 2 days ago on the 25th Jan on (I think) 1.5.8 and I can can see the video cache files for that but for todays flights there are...
That was my understanding but the poster of the video clearly suggested you could still spool a video stream to the cache even although you weren't actually recording at the time. Given that he also doesn't understand how the attitude display works and complains it leans one way when flying...
Hi All
I was watching a youtube video where the narrator was trying to get a mini 2 home after a long flight and he said he turned off recording to the SD card to save battery but kept it caching to his phone to assist if it fell short or was picked up by a passer by. On mine the phone only...
Possibly. Yesterday it was minus 1 here and my s8 was really laggy as I was starting everything up. The phone had been in the bag with the drone and was really cold to the touch. I took off and hovered for a minute or so and all came back to normal and was fine for the rest of the flight. Not...
I had trouble with my s8 and it turned out you need both WiFi and Bluetooth turned on. Once you have done that and pressed the button on the drone you get the popup to connect.
Yes I am but airdata and the DJI fly app both show the same thing and looking in the flightrecord folder the file from the first flight is about a fifth of the size of the second flight despite both flights being about the same length.
Hi.
This is not really about a lost drone but more a logfile question and I suspect the experts hang out here. I was out on Christmas Eve for a fly and flew my mini 1 for about 20 mins on battery 1 running form 100% down to 20% then landed. I then switched the drone off and changed the battery...
Thanks for your advice. Seems I should be ok to buy stateside and have a full range device while I'm the USA and UK frequencies and range while in the UK.
