Occusync (MavPro) vs Wifi on the Mavic Air - need help!

Another person basing his opinion on just one piece of evidence . The drone he ownes . Clearly, he feels the need to justify his decision so despite not owning an air , he's going to talk like some kind of expert on it. (I know he doesn't own an air because he describes them as similar in size ...

Need help regarding add on antennas to extend MA range, etc

As I look at the various kits being put out ( See the pictures below). One is a kit designed for I believe a hoboson drone, and the other 1 is for the mavick pro. My question is this has anyone attempted to use a kit designed for 1 drone and used it on another, specifically the mavic air. The...

    Mapping applications for Air yet?

GPS can be expressed as degrees, minutes and seconds. As u have. Or just as accurate is the GPS format called decimal degrees. Yours translates to 53.5891667 degrees latitude and 0.69750000 degrees longitude The litchi app gives the GPS coordinates of a Waypoint near my home as 40.15764261...

    Mapping applications for Air yet?

I don't think so. In using the litchi app to plan Waypoint missions, each way point is labeled with GPS coordinates. The coordinates included *6* decimal places (all non zero)

    MP vs MA for beginner

The MA is nearly HALF the size and weight of the MP. It is a very large difference. U guys that claim all this interference, I just don't get it. I've never had any problem getting at least 1 mile, even in the most congested areas. As long as u keep your antennas pointed in the right...

    MP vs MA for beginner

Spoken like someone who hasn't owned a Mavic air. Several of your statements are just patently false. The MA sensors are very sensitive. They do see branches (even those smaller than pencil). The APAS system is stellar. Allowing the MA to follow me or other people/objects in active track in...

Great news! Drone Harmony supports MA

I wasn't very familiar with the Drone Harmony program u til I stimbled across it today and noticed that it supports the MA. A quick 20 minute peek at it has me chomping at the but to read the instructions and give it a try. It appears to be a VERY robust platform for any types of missions...

New Mavic Air camera features to update the Pro's firmware with?

Guys who say things like "only thing really to be envious of is the Air's higher bitrate for video recording." make me laugh out loud. That may bebthe only thing HE is envious of, but all that tellsbu is that he doesnt have a mavic air. i actually have both...and i sinply dont use the pro...

    Changing home location while flying

It's also my understanding that if u don't have GPS in your controller, u can't update the position continually as the OP noted about the phantom.

Any besides litchi using SDK yet? (and a general comment about litchi)

Simmo... It is out or litchi wouldn't have been able to support it in their beta. Djiboi... Thank u. I'll check those out.

Besides waypoints, Litchi vs. DJI Go?

So far I've only used Waypoints and the VR function. First, the fun and usefulness of Waypoints can't be overstated, IMO. Just today I created in just about 15 mins, a Waypoint mission that I then flew. It was a "tour" of our neoghborhood, showing our house, my daughters school, our...

Any besides litchi using SDK yet? (and a general comment about litchi)

There are quite a few programs out there these days that add various different abilities to DJI drones. (Waypoints for example) FlightPresicion and DroneDeploy are a couple of examples of prgrams. As most of us know, DJI recently published the SDK for the Mavic Air which allows these programs...

    Mavic air LED on remote

Flashing read light = not binded to a drone. Flashing green= "handshaking" with a drone. Solid green=remote is bound/linked to a drone. U are ready to fly.

    Twilight flight issues

The MA relies heavily on its downward cameras. These take a picture of the ground as it rises and this becomes a "map" for the MA. It helps if there is lots of variation in colors and lots of different shapes. This makes for a more specific picture the MA can use to know how to hover in place...
