The weather was cloudy and I haven't done any post processing yet on the photos so they aren't great but I hope to get better the more I use it

Great photos. Time to get in closer to your subject. Does take practice too and DJI does have a simulator you can download for that purpose.

Cheers guys. I didn't realise there was a simulator I must check that out.. It will take a while to get better overall images and videos but I'm sure it will come in time. I think I need to slow down the controls a tad or else try film in tripod mode

Tripod is best with us less experienced pilots / videographers. Slowing the inputs down does help, but still a bit of getting used to the sticks, as even in tripod - the drone can make fairly rapid movements.

Some of the pro droners / racer types make it look real easy to go in fast and low - when it's not close for me. Maybe after I get 3rd party insurance on it, I may not get as freaked out and playing it safe - yet until then, a $1k drone is a tough thing to lose being a "cowboy!"
